Sick Trucking Wrap
Overview
Designed a custom vehicle wrap and logo system for Copperhead Logistics, transforming a standard tractor trailer into a branded, weathered western-inspired design. The project focused on creating a realistic large-format graphic that balanced visual impact, brand identity, and practical application considerations for a commercial vehicle.
Project Type: Vehicle Wrap & Brand Design
Software Used: FlexiSign, Adobe Photoshop
My Role
I was responsible for developing the visual concept, designing the vehicle wrap, creating the supporting logo, preparing presentation proofs, and refining the design through client feedback. I translated the client's vision into a realistic large-format graphic while considering vehicle dimensions, placement, readability, and final production requirements.

Process
Client Consultation
The project began by reviewing the client's vision for a tractor wrap that appeared weathered by the Arizona sun while incorporating Copperhead Logistics branding. I translated these ideas into a visual direction focused on realism, texture, readability, and strong brand recognition.
Vehicle Measurements & Planning
I collaborated with coworkers during the production process to measure the vehicle, review installation considerations, and ensure the design would accurately fit the tractor's dimensions. These measurements guided placement, scaling, and layout decisions while accounting for visibility, panel breaks, and practical application requirements.
Design Refinement
After receiving approval on the initial concept, I refined the rust effects, adjusted branding placement, and finalized the overall wrap design. I prepared the artwork for large-format production by verifying scale, resolution, file setup, and print requirements while collaborating with production team members to address any potential issues before output.
Printing & Production Coordination
I collaborated with print operators to ensure the final files were properly prepared for output and closely monitored the production process to maintain accuracy. This included confirming print settings, material requirements, and graphic quality before the wrap moved into installation.
Takeaways
This project really showed me how powerful Photoshop can be. The kind of photo manipulation I needed to make the tractor look rusty just wouldn’t have been possible without it. I learned a lot about blending textures and creating realistic effects. It was a really fun and rewarding project that pushed my skills.
Successes
I think this piece is super unique and definitely stands out. It went beyond just meeting the client’s expectations; it looked real, the rust felt authentic, and the overall design was clean. The client loved it so much, they ended up ordering more “rusty” designs from us, which was really exciting.
Changes
Honestly, I’m really happy with how this turned out. If I had to tweak something, I’d probably go back and make the rusted lettering look a bit more worn and natural. But overall, I wouldn’t change much.
